Gift of Speech



Be gracious, not unkind,
taking eye for eye,
and leaving all men blind.
Bless and do not curse.
Know that your anger
will only make things worse.
Turn the other cheek.
It was His way.
Christ was strong not weak,
and vengeance is for God to pay.
Pray for words of truth and grace,
or strength for silence seek.
Look in His Word, to see His face,
and think before you speak.
